Over the past decade Yamada's distinctive ceramic figurines have drawn him a reputation, and his work is now shown throughout the United States in top art cities like Chicago, 

Seattle & Sante Fe. Yamada's says his style is influenced by his expereiences as a child growing up in Kamakura, Japan."You see Buddha head everywhere in Kamakura, so I guess that's something I Bring with me when I work." Ken Yamada is based out of Fayetteville, AR, where he instructs and lives with his girlfriend Porter and their dog, Cheetos.
